Riad Melhoun and Spa was one of the most incredible stays we have ever had! The Riad is immaculate and pristine as the staff are cleaning and caring for the property all day long. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have air conditioning. The amenities are superb with fantastic pools, amazing views, and incredible food. The breakfast selection is delicious and their dinners are unforgettable! The hosts are fantastic and Nour, the manager, set us up with great activities including a guided walking tour, camel rides in Agafay, and a spa day at the Riad. The spa was truly unforgettable! The Riad is entirely intact following the earthquake in Marrakech and we had a fantastic stay. The city is very welcoming and is encouraging tourists to visit. Thank you to everyone at Riad Melhoun for a wonderful trip to Marrakech!
Had a wonderful stay here. The staff were incredibly amenable to our needs, going above and beyond to make us feel at home and comfortable. They arranged taxi services on our behalf, provided intimate local advice and even allowed us to check-in early. Of particular note, the team also allowed us to reschedule the dates of our stay at short notice at no extra cost, which was unprecedented and extremely generous given the circumstances. We booked extra services for Hammam and Dinner on the terrace which were well worth it. A truly memorable stay, would recommend to anyone looking to visit Marrakesh.
Stayed for 5 nights as a Couple and child at the top floor suite tent room in February 2022 straight after the Covid 19 travel ban was lifted. The Riad is beautiful, clean and decorated in the traditional Morrocan style. The entire staff team is super friendly, accommodating and provide exceptional service. They truly do put a lot of genuine effort and passion into serving the needs of their customers. The location is also very good right in the middle of old city with walking distances to various soukhs, shopping streets, restaurants, Jama El fanaa square and the Bahia Palace. The top floor tent room is probably the biggest room in Riad accommodating a king size double bed and a single bed for kids. The room was clean and spacious with a fridge and decent size wardrobe. The tent had a separate area partitioned off by a curtain to accommodate a bath tub and a toilet. The roof top terrace is right out side the room with sun loungers and a good size jacuzzi pool surrounded by various cactus plants. The area is well maintained and creates a relaxing environment right outside the tent suite. The breakfast is very good and is served on demand in whatever common area of the hotel you choose. The breakfast service is excellent and staff lay on different types of breakfast every day ranging from eggs, various kinds of pancakes, fruits, yogurts, cakes, jams, coffees and teas and off course the fresh Morrocan Orange juice. You can ask for whatever you need and the staff even prepared a special Morrocan egg tagine for breakfast one day when we wanted to try something different. So the breakfast is adequate, good quality and has some thing for every one. We had dinner at the Riad for our 10th anniversary and were pleasantly surprised. The staff made a lot of effort to prepare for the event and we were consulted on the menu choices and out likes and preferences. We pretty much designed our own menu with starters, salads, tagine of our choice, deserts and the staff executed it really well. Overall, we were really pleased with our stay at the Riad Melhoun and Spa. The staff went above and beyond to look after us. Thank you.
Small but lovely Riad with some of the nicest staff you'll ever meet. They helped us book excursions and transportation to and from the airport. We also utilized their spa services and that was also excellent. We looked forward to coming back everyday after being out exploring. The beds are comfortable also.
2 nights in Marrakesh. Good location in quiet area. The staff were brilliant from arrival. Breakfast was very good and fresh. Our room was the extra one on top of the Riad and plenty of space and comfortable bed. Our only compaint was that there was just a bath with a short shower attachment that meant you could only have a shower whilst sitting in the bath!!!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Riad Melhoun & Spa for two nights and were blown away by the place! Not only was the accommodation perfect (from the decor to the commodities) but the staff was also so friendly and helpful, they really made us feel at home. The Riad offers quite a lot of experiences and extra services that you can book directly through them. Personally, we tried the couples massage, which was very relaxing, and a wonderful Moroccan dinner which you have to try at least once! We also booked a taxi to the airport because we were leaving very early in the morning. This was a bit on the pricey side (€19) but it saves you the stress of having to bargain for a good deal. If you're not in a hurry to the airport, you can also get the local bus not far from the Riad, which is very cheap (approx.€3). The location of the Riad Is very convenient, probably one of the best aapects, and you can reach all of Marrakech's top sights by foot. When you first arrive though, I recommend checking a map or asking someone from the Riad to pick you up (at their pickup point) as you might otherwise get a bit lost. There are some locals who will offer to help and then ask for money so it's not worth getting in any unnecessarily uncomfortable situations. Not to worry though, once you locate the Riad for the first time, it's super easy to find again! Overall, we would definitely recommend staying here for at least a few nights. The staff is wonderful and they will not hesitate to give recommendations for your trip. The rooms and the Riad in general are really beautiful, one of the best in the city!
Thank you to the team at Riad Melhoun, we had an amazing week as a couple. Nothing was too much trouble and staying in an authentic Moroccan Riad was brilliant. Location was ideal for getting around the Old City.
Generally speaking, this riad is unexpectedly good. First, Hotel Location - Very convenient. You can walk to the night market in about ten minutes. There is a palace nearby to visit. Second, the hotel staff are Very friendly and very helpful. When we get to the hotel, they asked us to have a seat and have some mint tea. After checking in. One of the staff showed us around the hotel. The hot water in our room was not too hot the first night, and the water didn't drain very quickly. I told this to one of the employees. He solved the problem right away. I got up the next morning, had a long hot shower, in the winter. Third, the decoration of the hotel is very Moroccan riad style, in a very classy way. Every corner is perfect for taking pictures, the pool, the yaed, the terrace, the room, Instagram friendly. Sitting by the pool for breakfast in the morning is really something enjoyable. The hotel room and bathroom are very clean. Fourth, The hotel's Wi-Fi signal is very strong. We stayed in Morocco for several nights, and the wireless network became a big problem.
