Riad Botanica

This is a Gem of a Riad. Tucked down a quiet cul-de-sac in the Medina, but close to all the Souks and tourist spots. The team are wonderful and make you feel at home with a warm welcome and nice touches like bringing you fresh orange juice or mint tea without you asking! The breakfasts are wonderful, the rooms lovely. Highly recommended.

We’ve just come back from a 5 night stay in the Riad during January. We wondered if all the social media posts we’d seen would live up to the high expectations. It did and more! I travel a lot and think it was my favourite breakfast, home made, plenty of time and something special about eating on the rooftop with a blanket listening to the birds. It was such a tranquille spot after the médina to have tea and a great sun trap in the January sun. Nothing was ever too much for the team (Hamza and Amine) plentiful mint tea and answering our questions. Our first night we had a meal also which was utterly delicious. My daughter says it was her favourite tajine! Thank you so much for a remarkable stay.

During our trip in Marrakech we stayed at 4 Riads, where Riad Botanica was the last one. We absolutely loved everything about the Riad and can therefore highly recommend it! The location within the Medina was more calm, clean and the people were nicer than in other areas in the Medina. The Riad itself is very stylish and very detail oriented. Our room was clean and we never slept during our trip as good as in this Riad. We would like to point out the hospitality, especially from Mohamed. And last but not least, you get of course a very delicious breakfast which meets all wishes.

We had a pleasant stay at Riad Botanica. The riad was very good located, the breakfast was wonderful, and the rooms were beautiful. The host/owner was very thoughtful and kind.

From the moment you step through the ornate doorway, you’re transported into a world of tranquility and beauty. Birds sing. Water from the fountain trickles. You’re greeted and welcomed by the owners like you’re coming home. The architecture and décor of the riad are breathtaking, blending Australian influence with Arabic flair - a nod to the owners backgrounds. With intricate tilework, lush courtyards, and art at every turn, this photogenic riad doesn’t overlook details. Our room was exquisitely furnished, combining traditional Moroccan elements with modern comforts, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city. The bunk bed was great for our toddler, who immediately made himself at home. The hospitality of the owners, Angela and Mohammed and Amin was exceptional, always attentive to our needs and eager to share their knowledge of the local culture and cuisine. Each morning, we were treated to a home-made breakfast served on the serene rooftop, with fresh fruits, yoghurt, pancakes, and aromatic mint tea. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop terrace, offering panoramic views of the city and the Atlas Mountains beyond. The sunset from here was unparalleled. The Curious Cabinet non-alcoholic wine tasting was a fun experience. Overall, our stay at this family-run riad was magical. It provided the perfect blend of luxury, authenticity, and tranquility, making it an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return and create more memories in this enchanting oasis.
