Riad Jona

We stayed at Riad Jona while in Marrakesh for 4 days. I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional, largely thanks to the incredible staff. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was evident that they were truly committed to ensuring a memorable stay. The level of accommodation and service provided by the staff was outstanding. Every member of the team, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. Their friendliness was infectious, and we felt like a cherished guest throughout our entire stay. What truly sets this hotel apart is the genuine warmth and enthusiasm of the staff. Their positive attitudes and willingness to assist with any request made our stay truly unforgettable. It's rare to encounter such a level of hospitality, and we were consistently impressed with their commitment to ensuring that our experience was exceptional. The rooms in the photo were better than in person. I loved the terrace and the reception, but besides that I think there are other Riads around for a better price. Breakfast is ok. Service is ok. I asked for help one day to call a spa to make a reservation since I am not from Morocco and it was an international call. The person who works at the front desk basically asked me why I was not able to call from my phone in a very rude way, he noticed that I got upset about his response instead of helping me. I have to give credit to one person who took the time to explained everything to us (at the very beginning). He truly made us feel like home but this was the first day only. I met other people in my trip to the desert who had better experience at other Riads. Not sure if I will recommend this place. Try to find another one for the same price, better service, and better food. Location is good tho!

I stayed at Riad Jona for 4 nights with my wife. The room lacked basic amenities that you expect in a hotel like TV, electric kettle, iron, etc. The breakfast was very basic with a lot of bread but not much else so we had to find other breakfast places after a couple days. The Riad also has thin walls so it is quite noisy most of the time. The location is in the centre of Medina which is not very clean and quite congested. One has to walk 7-8 minutes in order to find a taxi. Overall, we didn't feel like it was good value for money. I'd recommend staying in the new part of town for a better experience.

I stayed at Riad Jona with a friend and found the staff to be incredibly accommodating and helpful. As two young women travelling alone in Marrakech, we really appreciated the extra steps the staff took to ensure our safety. The Riad itself is clean and beautiful, a wonderful escape from the heat of the city! I would recommend this Riad to anyone.

Catered to white or local travelers who are looking for a rustic experience. I do not care for the prejudice that naturally comes with the culture. Being an Asian male I felt stared at constantly but even then being a male had an upside because they treated me better than they did my partner. No signs pointing to how to get there. As I was walking trying to find the place the normalization of prejudice was not my best first experience in this country. This riad is cozy but could use some improvement. For example a phone or (maybe a button) a way to contact the front reception without having to walk all the way downstairs then to have to walk all the way back up to only have to wait for them to then come to you. Laundry service, they lost one of the garments but “found” it as soon as we spoke up. They even denied it at first. But hey if you’re white you may get 1st class service here. Just my two cents. Moving to another place.

Fantastic Riad in an excellent location. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning meant I was actually cool for the first time in Marrakech. I also took advantage of the in-room massage option and it was incredibly relaxing and very reasonable price-wise. Would certainly recommend this Riad.

Shockingly bad for a 4 star hotel. Worst riad we’ve stayed in during our trip, and by far the most expensive. The riad is a bit out of the way— you have to walk 5 min down a relatively dark alley before you reach the market alley, which is not very convenient. The host was not the most welcoming. He said nothing when the luggage carrier harassed us for 30 dh tip even though the host had included it in our transport from the airport. Very unprofessional. Worst of all, when we left we were running late to the airport, but the person at the desk could not find our reservation at all. He shuffled papers for 10 minutes and in the end had to write down what we told him (how many nights we stayed, etc) on a sheet of paper. Very disorganized and unprofessional riad. The room itself was nice though. Would not recommend this riad to other people.

3 of us stayed at Riad Jona for 3 nights late September - what an amazing Riad, was so stunning, on the top floor near the pool and Spa, gorgeous Moroccon room, spotlessly clean. The staff were all so helpful with restaurants, shopping a tour guide to the Atlas Mountains and having lunch with a Berber family - so worth every cent we just loved our day. I can't recommend this Riad enough, when I come back to Morocco i will stay here again and recommend to all my friends and family.
