We were looking for a place that was in the medina. My wife remembered seeing lasagna on a menu and that sounded good to me. We sat inside to feel the aircon which was nice. They have a nice menu of vegetarian items. Our food was delicious!

I’m writing this review after just experiencing the best culinary experience in Fes. If you’re staying in Fes, Morocco, then Veggie Pause is a must experience. If you’re traveling through Fes, stop and try this restaurant. If your itinerary doesn’t include Fes, then add it so that you can try this restaurant. I’m not a vegetarian but I’m a vegetarian ally because my wife is vegetarian and I love my wife. Anyway, our tour guide recommended Veggie Pause as a great option for vegetarians so I wanted my wife to try it since her restaurant menu options are usually limited. She ordered the Belhara and I ordered the Skewer Halloumi so we could share and try multiple menu items. One bite of the Belhara masterpiece and my taste buds have never been happier. The pepper cream, mushrooms, caramelized onions, avocado, eggs, and maasdam cream create a symphony of savory and slightly sweet that has to be experienced to be believed. It was unbelievably delicious and calling it a sandwich does it an injustice although it technically is one, it is so much more. The Skewer Halloumi held its own and was almost equally delicious. The halloumi was perfectly paired with the tomato cream sauce and basmati rice. The food was filling and reasonably priced which can rarely be said for vegetarian dishes. I wished that I was staying longer so that I could sample more items from their menu. There were so many appealing options that I had a hard time deciding and may I remind you that I’m not a vegetarian. Honestly, I don’t think that you can go wrong with any item on the menu. A customer sitting next to us couldn’t help but share how good his Capistrano pizza was and vowed to come back the next day. We were kindred spirits in that way because I felt the same way about our dishes. When you experience great food, you can’t help but share it with others which is why I’m writing this review.

Awesome selection of vegetarian (and vegan) options. The meals were creative and delicious, and super fresh as they are cooked on the spot (expect a bit of waiting time, but it's worth it). We particularly loved the lasagna and the Belhara croque-monsieur, and we came back the next day!

Me and my friend came here for lunch and enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner! The food is high quality and freshly prepared, and the waitress was really nice. Highly recommend to come here while in Fes

We had a great meal today. The starters and pasta were delicious. Would recommend it anytime!

Somehow, I forgot to take pictures of the food, but that’s just because it came out pretty soon and we were starving so we just demolished it. But the halloumi skewers were very good from one member of our party and the burgers were had by the other members of our party, one was a halloumi burger, and the other was another type of burger with Bete. That was very good. If you are strictly vegan or need a little bit more veggie because you’ve been having way too much meat in Morocco highly recommend this place.
