Riad Jbara

As a tour guide from Azilal, my group and I had an unfortunate experience at a riad. The members of my group consisted of individuals from various backgrounds, including Americans, Brazilians, and Black Africans. Regrettably, the treatment towards the Black African members of our group was extremely poor, leaving a negative impression on us. I strongly advise against choosing this particular riad for your stay, as there are other options available. I have personally visited Rabat numerous times and never encountered such an experience there. Due to the mistreatment, we made the decision to change our accommodations after spending only one night at the riad. To provide an example, one of our American team members expressed a desire to sit at a table with Black Africans, but was told not to and was directed to another table. Additionally, we had a few Moroccan individuals with us, and the riad staff insisted on splitting the group, with some seated on one side and the rest on another.

Charming Riad in the heart of the Medina. The staff are wonderful, both at reception and at breakfast. We visited Rabat and Casablanca on an anniversary getaway, and they even decorated the room with rose petals—a lovely touch. We also needed them to print our boarding passes, and they kindly did so for us. Thank you again! The breakfast was very good and served on the terrace. The room was comfortable, although a wardrobe would have been nice. Very well located. I would definitely stay here again if I return to this part of Morocco.

If you're sensitive to street noise, then run away! It's incredibly noisy, unless you're friends with earplugs, then it's perfect! The welcome was very average... The receptionist is useless... I had a problem during the night and I'm still waiting for him to deign to answer 😂. The two women who serve breakfast are lovely and very kind! The best thing about this hotel is when the call to prayer comes in the evening (7 pm) and you're on the terrace... It's fantastic... And that's all.

It takes several minutes to walk to get there (not accessible by car), you have to carry your suitcases up narrow stairs (we had help with them, but when it was time to leave, the lady who runs the place said it wasn't included and you had to pay for help). Old-fashioned room, shower without a stall, foul smell coming from the toilet sewage. Mold on the shower curtains. Average breakfast. There was a fight between the employees while customers were seated at lunch. One of the employees served us lunch in her pajamas.

The owner is a wonderful person. He made us feel right at home, accompanied us to a nearby restaurant, and gave us great tips for places to visit in Rabat. The breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended.

Dirty rooms with no amenities whatsoever. Complete lack of cleaning and towel/sheet changes during our stay. Exorbitant price for airport transfers, which aren't even arranged through a company but by calling a taxi (which would actually cost much less than half). In short, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

Not recommended. Compared to other Riads in other cities, the price was high and the service was unexceptional. The bathroom was tiny, with a shower over the toilet.

Riad with excellent breakfast. Convenient for the Kashbah of Rabat. The room we were assigned was small.
